Studio at La Vistalodge
This finca is an exceedingly popular base camp for climbers and this for several reasons.
Where to begin?
Let us start with the views, built against a hillside a little further up in the mountains you get the most majestic views during the day and nighttime! The starry skies at night never get boring, especially from the outdoor hot shower or while laying on a sunbed after you had a well-deserved sauna. In the daytime you get to see Gran Canaria, the Atlantic Ocean and loads of little villages spread over the island. Here you feel on top of the world! The landscape is very relaxing, and you are considerably close to the National Park. For those who love to be adventurous and are in for a nice climb you can hike directly from the finca into the pine woods of the island, using old roman roads and narrow pathways.
Show moreYou get all of this without being far away from the climbing areas (the usual 20 to 30min drive). To get to the nearest beach, which is in El Médano, you just let yourself roll down the mountain. Granadilla has a few nice little restaurants, cafeterias and all the supermarkets you need and is only a 10min drive away.
The Vistalodge itself is very well planned with lots of different terraces all facing the ocean, a bodega in a cave where all guests can meet, eat, and have a drink. There is an open-air shower, another large cave with lounge beds where you can enjoy absolute silence and a sauna that can be used at a small extra fee!
The large studio has everything you need with a private bathroom, a kitchenette with dining table, a comfortable double bed.
It is large enough to fit in an extra bed if you are 3 guests.
The small terrace overlooks the ocean, the mountains, the villages below and the stars!

The view! The sunrise and sunset! We looked forward going up to our studio every evening. The drive up was quite easy and not far from the village of Granadilla where we had the best meal of our holiday.
Perfect location and great starting point for climbing around Arico. The host was very friendly and helpful, that was great. The studio is spacious, well equipped, has a heating.
Nice studio with all basic amenities. The views were spectacular!
