La Casa Passiflora
La Casa Passiflora is part of a large Canarian farmhouse that lays at the edge of the village of Granadilla.
There is no need to take the car from the lodge, you can walk straight into the buzzing little village with its lovely restaurants, the small cafeterias where we all go for that quick (cheap!) coffee and an update about whatever. Actually, one of Granadilla’s best restaurants is right across the street from La Casa Passiflora where its excellent food, for little money, in a cave will bring the whole dining experience to a next level. Staying in this village will give you such a clear idea about how we live in the Canary Islands.
Show moreFrom the lodge it will take you a 15min drive to the well-known beach of El Médano and to the different climbing areas it’s the usual short drive of 10 to 30min, oh and remember… from Granadilla it’s a quick and easy drive up to El Teide.
Now La Casa Passiflora is a true little gem with an enchanting decoration that took years to assemble. It has a living room, a well-equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. From the lodge you walk onto the terrace with a typical build-in BBQ, a table, and a little seating area to chill, read and dream. This terrace is connected to an ecological garden on different levels with orange, mango, and avocado trees.
The terrace is perfectly framed by the large Passiflora that gave its name to this unique and very welcoming accommodation.

Very personalized lodge, no Ikea furniture here! The garden has so many different species of plants and trees, very interesting and relaxing.
We were reluctant about staying in Granadilla, we had our mind set on Arico and another lodge, but this turned out to be a much better option. Such a beautiful house with an excellent location. We want to come back!
An honestly beautiful and well-decorated home, about 35 mins drive up towards Mount Teide volcano. The host was very welcoming and informative, and it was great to hear her ideas about what we could do in the area.
