Mariposa is nicely nestled a bit higher up in the mountains. Built against a hill side it offers views of the Atlantic Ocean, Gran Canaria and the many colorful villages between the coast and the mountains. It is an amazing place to be and it will give you lots of inner peace. 4 different terraces on several levels all provide you with the same stunning view, the sauna can relax the muscles after a day of exploring and exercising or maybe you prefer to take a hot outdoor shower, which we highly recommend at nighttime to experience our clear starry skies!
Show moreLa Mariposa is a small apartment, a perfect fit for 2 although we can easily put in an extra bed for a third guest.
The decoration is mainly practical and very well planned with bathroom, bedroom with double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a very large terrace.
The bodega in the cave is the ideal place for guests to meet, chat, eat and have a drink…if wanted. Obviously!
For those who, love to hike and do full day explorations, we recommend following the old roman trail that will take you as far as the National Park. No need to take the car first as you can walk from the finca.
La Vistalodge has been welcoming climbers since 2011 and has since then seen many guests leave as friends.

My wife specially enjoyed the view and the silence, I enjoyed the open-air shower in the morning and at night (we were there in January). I recommend this apartment because it is so quiet and peaceful.
Perfect location and great starting point for climbing around Arico. We received loads of very interesting info on the area before we arrived, and the host had all the answers to our questions. The apartment is ok for a week’s holiday. We will be back!
Nice little apartment with all basic amenities. The views were spectacular, and the outdoor hot shower is quite the experience. Many thanks to the lady of Tenerifelodge, she was such a great help!
