In El Rio (Arico) you could stay at this colorful casa with pool. It is part of a larger finca with 3 other holiday homes, garden, BBQ area and a fabulous large, heated pool with sun deck. There are not many heated pools around in this area of the island, but in the winter months it is quite welcome.
El Rio is a tiny village in a very rural area with lots of “barranco’s” (cloves) and is home to one of the main climbing sectors in the South of Tenerife. From this lodge it will take you a 5 to 10min drive to get to the Barranco del Rio. To the other popular climbing areas, you will need the normal 10 to 30min drive.

You can tell the decoration of the lodge came together by the many cultural influences of the owner and it makes this lodge look so vibrant and different. The small living room is connected to a private terrace with comfy seats that overlook the rural landscape of El Rio.
The large pool area is where you will be spending most of your time though, guests swoon upon their first glance of this outdoor space that comes with another fully equipped outdoor kitchen, a long wooden table and a big heated pool. Nothing like a dip in the pool any time of the year! This area is an idyllic outdoor place to swim, relax, charge up your batteries and even cook your best meals in the open air.
Or maybe you prefer a BBQ in the tropical garden of this finca with yes, yet another pool and chill out area, ideal for a laid back and chilled evening.

A wonderfully comfortable house with all facilities in a lovely old building. We will return because it had a perfect location to go climbing and because of the pool.
Very pleasant stay. The house equipped with all comforts (comfortable mattresses), interesting furniture. Excellent location to visit the island and close to the climbing areas. In Tenerife you get used to the fact that you need to drive to get around. El Rio turned out to be the perfect spot.
Location exactly as expected, peaceful and quiet. You need a car! Our part of the house was larger than anticipated and it was very well equipped. It was cleaned (incl bed linen change) twice during our stay (more than I would expect). We were given access to the laundry room; very handy for a two week stay with kids!
