EL MÉDANO BEACH HOUSE APARTMENT
El Médano has become an exceedingly popular place for those who are into sports. The village holds a few surf-, windsurf- and kitesurf centers, bike rental, a skatepark and a diving center. For us however, the islanders, we like El Médano mostly because of its long natural beaches, la Montaña Roja and the wind which is a guarantee for sunny weather.
The Beach House Apartments are located on the smallest beach at the edge of the village. Yes, you read that right: on the beach at a very privileged and amazing location. A short walk (or a jog) along the promenade takes you quickly into the village with all type of little shops, cafés, restaurants, and its Saturday morning artisan market.
Show moreThe El Médano beach houses are a colorful small complex on 2 floors with several apartments. All are decorated in a similar way, in bright modern tones just like its outside walls. They all have wind protected sunny terraces with fab ocean views and in the distance the well beloved Montaña Roja. This little beach is not frequented a lot and a great place to stay for those who like to wake up and go to bed with the sound of the ocean.
The apartments are very straight forward and decorated in bright happy colors. They have one bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bathroom with shower. It can easily sleep upto 4 guests.
With its parking right beside the complex it is the best place to be for an active holiday by the beach.

Nothing bad to say about the apartment, it offered what we needed as we were mainly outdoor anyway. We like the village a lot, although for good food you need to be in the mountains.
The Beach House surely sticks out from the rest of the accommodations in El Médano : the colors and the architecture are pretty. We spend most of our time on our terrace, which to me is the best asset of these houses. Everything we needed was provided, we didn’t really cook that much but the kitchen was equipped for simple meals, we always had a warm shower, the beds were simple but good, it’s a quiet area and the walk into the village took us 10min. We mostly went climbing in Arico and El Rio.
We loved having the two terraces: one with sun beds to read a book and chill and one where we could have a meal. Great quiet place to stay, on the beach and easy parking.
