At the South Beach of El Médano you will find the Barlovento apartment.
El Médano changed from being a small fisher village to a hotspot for sporty outdoor people.
With a great choice of surf-, windsurf- and kitesurf centers, bike rental, a skatepark and a diving center, there is never an excuse not to be active. But we, who have always lived here, like El Médano the most because of its long natural beaches, our beloved Montaña Roja (volcanic cone that is a protected natural reserve), the wind that is a guarantee for sunny weather and the large town square in front of the main beach where everyone meets for a chat. The village has great local fiëstas, especially during the summer months and has many bars and restaurants. A long walkway, beside the ocean, takes you to both extremes of the village going through the “medanos” or rocky dunes that are a result of the erosion caused by wind and sea.
Show moreThe Barlovento apartment is on this long walkway, on the top floor of a quiet complex. Being on the top floor means you get some amazing views of the village, the kite- and surf beach and the protected area Montaña Roja.
This is the best chill out with a fab view in El Médano!
The apartment can be accessed either from the beach boardwalk or from the road, where you can park your car. It will take you a 1min walk to get to all the restaurants and cafés where you can have fresh healthy breakfasts and meals.
Barlovento sleeps between 2 to 5 guests with its 2bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with walk in shower and the terrace where you will most likely spend most of your time.

We loved the location of the apartment! Close to everything, with easy parking (although in the weekends it gets busier) and great views. Thank you Tenerifelodge for recommending this to us, you were right…it was exactly what we needed!
I spent my mornings and evenings on the terrace, despite of the, at sometimes, strong wind. It was such a quiet nice spot to relax and soak up the ocean vibe after a day of climbing and mountains.
The apartment offered everything we needed: a good bed, clean and a great location. Everything was so easy going and relaxed from the booking to check out! A great big thank you!
