We did not call this lodge Climbers Heaven for no reason. It is a renovation of a 1-bedroom cottage located in Arico with a backyard that is extremely pleasing to the eye.  Why would you not combine some luxury with a climbing holiday, especially when the luxury is very affordable and within the normal 15 to 20min drive of the climbing mecca of Tenerife.

Arico has a lot of clusters of small colorful villages, some with a lot of finesse due to their interesting old colonial houses, some  well-preserved and others in a bit of a decay which actually adds a lot of authenticity to the village. Walking through these neighborhoods will take you back to the days when live was not hectic, when everything was created with beauty and function, the perfect place to become absolutely zen.

Climbers Heaven is one of the four private holiday homes of an interesting colonial house. Each lodge is built against a hill side on a different level with its own garden and its own absolute privacy. From the terrace and the backyard of Climbers Heaven you have a stunning view over the barranco (clove) the private pool and the lush green garden. The perfect setting to chill and relax in an exotic way. 

This lodge itself is decorated with beautiful natural materials, respecting the building, with great taste for textures and patterns and with a less is more vibe. It comes with a fully equipped kitchen, living room, 1 large bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower. 

This lodge will spoil you with luxury fabrics, a tranquil setting and service.  The large BBQ-corner is shared with other guests but within a short distance from the cottage where you can privately have your meal on your own terrace.

We wanted to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary doing what we love most and spoiling ourselves with a comfy and beautiful accommodation. It was spot on! Compared to the many European climbing destinations we got such great value for our money.

There’s no parking at the lodge, but we always found parking close by in the very quiet streets. Not much going on in the village and no supermarkets. But the cottage totally made up for that, I’ve never experienced anything like it.

We had an active holiday in Tenerife, with mostly climbing (5&6’s), some wave riding, 2 bike tours and my wife went on a 2hour horse ride excursion which she said was unique. In the afternoons we enjoyed our garden, loosened our muscles in the pool and had a few BBQ’s…. We had the perfect holiday.
