ARICO’S COTTAGE

The Arico Cottage has many advantages, one being that it is one of the few holiday houses as close as a 10min drive from the main climbing area in Arico. 

So, if you are looking at climbing and having some quality relaxing time, then this would be your ideal holiday getaway.

One part of this unconventional house used to be a shed and was used to stock the grain of the family. With its thick walls, antique wooden doors, and old ceilings it still has a lot of this original character, its decoration is however very modern and fresh, which creates an airy and relaxed feeling to its rooms. In the old shed you have a funky living room, a stylish bedroom with double bed and a mezzanine with one bed and the possibility to put in another extra bed. There is a little storage room, ideal to store your climbing gear and a practical bathroom with shower.

In a separate building you will find the kitchen. Yes! This is how farmers used to live in the old days in the South of Tenerife; their houses consisted out of small buildings, either or not connected with each other. Such a different way to how we live nowadays and therefor such a great holiday experience. Now the distance between the 2 buildings is minimal, with only a couple of meters, but it makes this house different and spacious. 

The kitchen building connects to a small garden and a sunny terrace both overlooking the mountains and the typical houses of the village. A perfect place to chill as you soak up some sun before or after your exploring.

This is true paradise! The house itself is well equipped and comfortable.  The bright kitchen made me want to cook. With quick access to the climbing areas of Arico, we had a wonderful stay.

Nice and stylish house. Great value for money. Nice and relaxing view from the garden. Good reachability.It is not in the touristy area, so you get a real taste of Tenerife and its close to Tamadaya.

Everything was just great. Highly recommended. Not just another cheap furniture place on the island, it is a place with soul and a lot of local character. Loved both buildings and the privacy it created. Not much to see or do in the area, but the climbing areas were close.
